Albert Quay Tower, Cork gets the go ahead

Urban Initiatives Studio is excited to announce that the Albert Quay Tower in Cork has received planning permission. Our work was instrumental in establishing a robust urban design and tall buildings rationale for this tower, which will be the tallest building in Cork. We also acted as design advisors, shaping the massing, form and architecture of the building, and undertook the Visual Impact Assessment. The tower will mark a new mixed use quarter at the interface between Cork City Centre and the Docklands, bring animation to the waterfront and will act as a catalyst for future development in the Docklands. The slender tower is topped with a lantern themed crown that will include communal facilities and workspace for the enjoyment of residents and their visitors.
