Residents of Sevenoaks Town voted overwhelmingly in favour of the Neighbourhood Plan in last Thursday’s referendum. Just shy of 6,000 people cast their vote with 73% voting to support the plan which will now become part of the statutory development plan for Sevenoaks.
We worked closely with Sevenoaks Town Council to prepare the Neighbourhood Plan, initially preparing a masterplan for North Sevenoaks which formed part of the evidence base for the plan and then working with the Neighbourhood Plan committee to draft the plan. We supported the Town Council through the Regulation 14 consultation, drafted the final plan, consultation statement and basic conditions statement and supported the Town Council through the Examination Process.
Central to the plan is a response to the threat of climate change and policies focus on encouraging active travel, protecting and delivering more green infrastructure and promoting high quality development in sustainable locations.
